Backend - DBA

Job Description

Database administrators are in charge of managing and maintaining company databases. Database administrators are more into enforcing a data management policy and ensuring that company databases are operational and backed up in the event of memory loss.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• 5 + years of experience working as MS SQL DBA and technical support experience.
• Having Azure domain experiences is a big asset.

Required Skills/Certifications:

• Leadership - handle technically challenging and politically sensitive customer situations
• Strong communications skills - Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
• Effective, polished interaction with customer to gather information quickly; explain customer responsibilities in resolving issue; communicate next steps and status; and inspire confidence
• The successful Support Engineer has the drive and intellectual horsepower to resolve difficult customer issues; directly supports customers through telephone, email, and chat services as applicable
• Demonstrable troubleshooting skills
• Cross-team collaboration
• SQL DB /Technical Skills
• Experience with SQL Server or an equivalent database product - Must have.
• Experience in troubleshooting and problem solving role - Must have.
• Experience with Relational Database management systems and concepts
• High Availability: Experience/Knowledge of Windows Server Cluster Services in On-Premise environments
• Experience in SQL Server Performance
• Experience in Database and Server Administration
• Should able to deploy and Troubleshoot SQL Server Failover Cluster Instances etc.
• Experience/Knowledge of Windows Server Cluster Services in Azure cloud
• Having Azure domain experiences is a big asset.
• Experience in a customer facing or customer support role
